🧥 Urgent Need: Kids’ Coats for This Freezing Weather
The freezing weather has brought a heartbreaking reality into focus.
Schools are reaching out to us because more and more children are showing up without proper coats — some are standing outside in the early morning cold, waiting for the bus with nothing more than a thin hoodie to keep them warm.
Imagine being freezing, teeth chattering, fingers numb, trying to be brave while the wind cuts right through your clothes.
No child in our community should have to start their day like that.
Our Friends Closet is doing everything we can, but the requests are coming in faster than we can fill them. We need your help. Every coat you share becomes warmth, comfort, and confidence for a child who needs it.
If you have new or gently used (no rips, tears or stains) coats or jackets, please consider donating.
Your coat could be the difference between a child shivering at the bus stop and a child walking into school warm, safe, and ready to learn.
Please send us a private message or contact us for current drop-off locations.
